CITADEL, SK Telecom, IT&E and IP&E donate $250K to CNMI Super Typhoon Yutu relief

CITADEL Pacific Ltd., SK Telecom, IT&E and IP&E committed a total of $250,000 to support relief and recovery efforts in the Commonwealth Northern Mariana Islands in the aftermath of Super Typhoon Yutu, according to an IT&E announcement. The check was presented to CNMI Gov. Ralph DLG Torres.

CITADEL Pacific Ltd. has holdings on Guam, the CNMI, Republic of Palau and the Philippines. Citadel’s entities on Guam and the CNMI include IT&E and IP&E.

IT&E serves more than 90,000 mobile subscribers on Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands. IP&E is the retail and commercial supplier of petroleum products on Guam, Saipan and Palau. It operates all of the islands’ Shell service stations.

‘Committed to helping rebuild the Marianas’
“There is a long road ahead to recovery for the islands, which is why IP&E is fully committed to working together with our Saipan community to rebuild after Super Typhoon Yutu,” the announcement states.

SK Telecom is the largest mobile operator in Korea, holding about 50 percent of the market. In September, SK Telecom announced a strategic partnership with IT&E to strengthen IT&E’s wireless network.

The CITADEL family of companies and SK Telecom state that they “remain committed to helping rebuild the Marianas stronger than before.”
